Escalated Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon killed 16 members of four Syrian families, including women and children, a war monitor reported.
The death toll among Syrian refugees, who had fled the war in Syria seeking safety in Lebanon, continues to rise as the conflict intensifies between Israel and Hezbollah, a Britain-based war monitor said.
With Monday’s strikes, the number of Syrian refugees killed in Lebanon due to the Israeli-Hezbollah showdown since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza has reached 50, including seven women and 13 children.
An additional 21 people have been wounded, it said. (Xinhua/NAN)
