Chaudi was arraigned on Monday on a four-count charge of intent to defraud, forgery and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Adegeshin Famuyiwa, told the court that the alleged offences occurred between December 2025 and 2 January 2026 at HINB Supermarket on Isagamu Road, Ikorodu.

The court was also told that Chaudi allegedly forged electronic bank transfer receipts by altering dates, figures and amounts, presenting some of them as genuine proof of payment.
The offences are said to be contrary to Sections 314, 287, 365 and 361 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
In his ruling, the Magistrate, Mr A. O. Ogbe, granted the defendant bail in the sum of ₦5 million with two sureties in like sum, directing that one of the sureties must be a Nigerian citizen and that all addresses be verified.
The matter was adjourned until 19 February for mention.
