Emergency services have discovered one deceased person at the site of a two-storey building that caved in on Sunday afternoon in the Mushin district of Lagos.
Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, the Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for Lagos, provided confirmation of the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
According to Farinloye, the building, which was still in the construction phase, was located along Ishaga Road, opposite the Central Mosque in Idi Araba, Mushin.
“Currently, we have confirmed one death, while three individuals have been rescued safely,” said Farinloye. “Efforts for search and rescue are still in progress,” he noted (NAN).
