Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago, has disbanded his executive cabinet with immediate effect, marking a significant shake-up in the state administration.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Bologi, on Monday, the governor disclosed that the decision was made during the State Executive Council meeting held in Minna.
Governor Bago, while announcing the dissolution, commended the outgoing members of the council for their service and dedication, wishing them success in their future pursuits.
However, the state leader opted to retain some top government officials. Among those exempted from the shake-up are the Secretary to the State Government, the Chief of Staff, the Deputy Chief of Staff, and other principal aides within the governor’s office.
