Fintiri Mourns Buhari

Gov Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Nigeria as well as the bereaved family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed on Sunday in London.

Fintiri issued this in his message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, on Monday in Yola.

The Governor described the loss as significant to the nation, stating that Buhari would be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Fintiri commended the late president for his unwavering dedication to Nigeria’s growth and development.

He highlighted that Buhari’s leadership, both during his military and civilian eras, left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s history.

“His commitment to national unity, particularly during the country’s most challenging periods, including the civil war, is a testament to his statesmanship and vision for a united Nigeria,’’ he said.

Fintiri added that Buhari’s contributions to Nigeria’s development, especially in areas such as infrastructure, agriculture and security were indelible.

According to him, the late former president’s efforts to promote stability and democracy in the country would not be forgotten.

He particularly extended his heartfelt condolences to Aisha Buhari, who is a proud daughter of Adamawa.

He urged her to take courage and bear the loss with the knowledge that she is not alone in her grief, (NAN)
