Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, on Tuesday declared that the Federal Government should not negotiate with insurgents who have terrorised the country for years. Speaking at the NBA Akure Branch Law Week, he urged authorities to crush insurgents and their sponsors rather than forgive them.
Fani-Kayode said Nigerians will continue to face challenges squarely and praised President Bola Tinubu’s reforms for enhancing national sovereignty.
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, represented by Commissioner for Justice Dr Kayode Ajulo, reiterated his administration’s commitment to judicial reforms, digitalisation of court processes, and institutional development, while urging lawyers to uphold justice and serve as the nation’s conscience.
The event also honoured Vanguard Newspaper Chairman Sam Amuka-Pemu with the ‘Friend of the Bar’ Award.
