The Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has paid a heartfelt tribute to former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, calling his death a monumental loss not only for Katsina State but for the entire nation.
In his condolence message delivered on Tuesday from Abuja, the traditional ruler and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers praised Buhari’s life of piety, humility and steadfast dedication to Nigeria.
“Buhari was a hero whose sense of patriotism was unparalleled in our history,” Abubakar said, highlighting the late leader’s exceptional devotion to the masses and his reputation for incorruptibility.
He described Buhari as a deeply God-fearing and humble elder statesman whose passing leaves a profound void at a time when his wisdom and counsel were greatly needed.
“He was a committed technocrat, patriotic administrator and a detribalised Nigerian,” the Etsu Nupe added, underlining the breadth of Buhari’s national appeal.
Abubakar concluded his message with prayers for Almighty Allah to grant Buhari Aljannat Firdaus and to give his family, the people of Katsina, and the entire country the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.
