The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has ordered the immediate arrest of a dismissed officer, Olakunle Folarin, for unlawful possession of the commission’s property, including an identity card.
In a statement on Monday in Abuja, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale said Folarin, a former driver at the Ibadan Zonal Directorate, was recently dismissed for certificate forgery.
He added that the ex-staff was recently spotted on a matchmaking programme hosted by entertainer Lege Miami, where he appeared with an EFCC identity card.
According to him, EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede directed the arrest, stressing that the card should have been returned upon Folarin’s dismissal.
Oyewale urged the public not to associate Folarin’s post-dismissal conduct with the EFCC.
