An Abia State All Progressives Congress(APC) chieftain, Apostle Chuks Alozie, has urged Christians to embrace kindness, justice and equality as foundations for sustainable community development.
In his Easter message to Christians in Abia State yesterday, Nigeria and across the world, Alozie said the season symbolises sacrifice, love and redemption, which should inspire believers to live selfless lives.
He called on Christians to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ and draw lessons from His teachings centred on compassion, forgiveness and service to humanity.
“The story of Easter reminds us of the power of sacrifice, love and redemption. As we reflect on the ultimate gift of Christ, let us draw inspiration from His teachings of compassion, forgiveness and service to others, and strive to build a community that values kindness, justice and equality,” he said.
The APC chieftain noted that the Easter season provides an opportunity for unity and collective commitment towards building a better society.
He also commended healthcare workers, teachers and other essential service providers for their dedication and sacrifices to the nation.
“This Easter season brings us closer together as a community. May we continue to work towards a brighter future for all. I thank our healthcare workers, teachers and all essential workers who serve tirelessly. Your efforts do not go unnoticed,” he added.
Alozie further urged Christians to remember the less privileged by extending acts of love and kindness during the festive period.
He wished the Christian faithful a joyous Easter celebration and prayed for God’s blessings upon communities in Abia State and Nigeria at large, urging them to uphold the virtues of peace, love and unity exemplified by Jesus Christ.
