Drug, Gang Offences: Rapper Quando Rondo Released

Read the latest news about rapper Quando Rondo as he bonds out of jail after facing drug and gang charges in Georgia.

Rapper Quando Rondo, whose real name is Tyquian Terrel Bowman, has secured his release from jail after being indicted on drug and gang charges in Savannah, his hometown.

According to court records, a judge has granted a $100,000 bond to the 24-year-old artist. The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office confirms that he was released on Monday.

On June 14, a grand jury indicted Bowman, along with 18 others. The indictment includes four charges against him, such as his alleged involvement as a manager of the illicit street gang called “Rollin’ 60s.” Additionally, the charges accuse Bowman of conspiring with others to distribute marijuana and purchase hydrocodone pills, an opioid.

Jonah Pine, Bowman’s attorney, expressed his immense gratitude for the rapper’s release on bond and refrained from providing further comments on the matter.

Quando Rondo gained recognition with his popular singles “I Remember” and “ABG,” which eventually led to a record deal with Atlantic Records. In 2020, his debut album titled “QPac” was released by the label, followed by his subsequent album, “Recovery,” in March.
