The Co-founder of Wardiere Oakmount Development, Mr. Mustapha Amer, has commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for enforcing legal requirements governing land use and property development in the territory.
Amer gave the commendation at a news conference on Wednesday in Abuja during the launch of the Al-Barari Community by Wardiere Oakmount Real Estate.
He stressed the importance of adhering to existing laws regulating land use, noting that many property owners often develop structures contrary to their designated purposes.
“Every land has its purpose. Some people don’t realise that certain lands are meant for residential buildings, while others are for business. Ironically, some build shops on residential land and vice versa,” he said.
The real estate developer urged fellow developers to comply with the Land Use Act, adding that his organisation remains committed to lawful and sustainable development practices.
According to him, Al-Barari is an example of a project that aligns fully with extant laws governing housing development in Abuja.
Amer also advised landowners in Abuja and across Nigeria to regularise their properties by obtaining Certificates of Occupancy.
Also speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of Al-Barari, Mr. Mustapha Ahmed, said all project documents were duly obtained from the government.
Ahmed described Nigeria as a hospitable country and expressed confidence in both the government and the Nigerian people.
