Dangote Guarantees Petrol Price Consistency Amid Rising Crude Oil Costs

Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has affirmed its commitment to maintaining stable prices for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), widely known as petrol, despite the ongoing fluctuations in global crude oil markets.

In a statement issued by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, the company highlighted that its decision to uphold price stability is a testament to its steadfast dedication to supporting the Nigerian economy and easing the financial strain on consumers resulting from rising fuel prices.

The refinery’s commitment demonstrates its resolve to provide affordable, dependable, and high-quality petroleum products while ensuring operational efficiency and sustainability are not compromised.

“Our strategy is in line with the Federal Government’s Nigeria First policy, which champions the prioritisation of domestically produced goods and services.

By refining petroleum products locally at the world’s largest single-train refinery, we proudly contribute to Nigeria’s energy security, foreign exchange savings, and overall economic resilience—aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to tackle the nation’s economic challenges and enhance the welfare of Nigerians. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, for facilitating this through the commendable Naira-for-Crude Initiative, which has allowed us to consistently lower the price of petroleum products for the benefit of all Nigerians.”

The company reassures all stakeholders—including consumers, partners, and the government—of its unwavering commitment to operational excellence and national service.

“Dangote Petroleum Refinery remains dedicated to ensuring that the advantages of our local refining capability are fully realised and benefitted by the Nigerian populace. We will continue to prioritise affordability, quality, and national interest in every aspect of our operations.”
