The Managing Director, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Malam Ali M. Ali on Wednesday paid condolence visits to Mrs Aisha Buhari and Alhaji Mamman Daura at their residences in Kaduna.
The managing director paid the visit alongside the Directors-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) , Abdulhamid Dembos, and Mahmud Bulama, respectively.
Speaking at the residence of the late former President, Muhammad Buhari, the Zonal Director,FRCN Kaduna, Buhari Awwalu, introduced the delegation, saying that the late Buhari was a friend to the media.
He recalled covering Buhari’s activities during his regime as military head of state and as a democratically elected president from 2015 to 2023.
A prayer session was led by the Director, Engineering Services, FRCN, Alhaji Sanda Askira.
The prayer was for God to rest the departed soul of the former president.
Responding to the visit on behalf of the family,Alhaji Musa Yola, appreciated the delegation, saying the families were thankful for the invaluable gesture.
Shortly after , the delegation also paid a visit to the nephew of late Buhari, Alhaji Mamman Daura at his residence in Kaduna.
Askira and Ali offered additional prayers for the Almighty Allah to grant the late Buhari Aljannat Firdaus and give his family and Nigerians the formidable fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
Daura welcomed the delegation and appreciated them on behalf of the family.
“We are grateful and thankful to you all. May God give you the wisdom to do your work efficiently,” he said. (NAN)
