Bomb Explosion Kills Over 8 Persons, Including Women,  Children In Borno LGA

An improvised explosive devices ( IEDs) planted by suspected Boko Haram terrorists has killed no fewer than eight persons and injured three others in Gamboru Ngala local government area of Borno State.

Credible sources said the explosion occured around 11:00am on Monday when vehicles traveling from Rann, headquarters of Kala-Balge local government area to Gamboru Ngala stumbled on the IEDs.

The sources said the location was near Furunduma, 11 kilometers from Rann, adding that the victims included women and children.

A Civilian Joint Task Force member who spoke on the condition of anonymity confirmed that eight people were involved in the explosion incident.

Another source said that the death toll may be higher than eight, considering the number of women and children involved in the travel.

Neither the military or nor the police has issued any statement regarding the explosion as at the time of filing this report. End
