Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have abducted a retired Immigration Office Shekh Gaji Maina Kara along with other passengers traveling on the Biu-Damaturu Road near Kama village in Yobe State.
A credible Sources within the families confirmed that, the abduction occurred on Saturday morning
A family member, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to comment, disclosed that the was returning from Mubi of Adamawa State, where he had visited his family, when the attack took place.
“I want to inform you that, He’s my brother. But I am not in a position to disclose this officially, but the news is all over. I believe the security agencies will issue a statement in due time,” the source said.
Another Source from the family told Leadership that, the drive of the bus said that, the attackers ambushed them when they are returning back from Biu to Damaturu where abducted only three passengers, including a retired Nigeria Imagination Service.
News reported that, the suspected Boko Haram they took away the Retired officer after stopping commercial vehicle, took them into the Bush through the Buni Gari road.
However, “By the time they were trying to run into the bush, the insurgent took them away,” the source, told our correspondent but asked.
They family members also Urges security agencies to rescue the abduction and deployed a enough security personnel insert to have credible information about whereabouts.
News gathered that, the abduction comes amid a resurgence of terrorist activities in Nigeria’s, most especially northeast region.
Efforts to reach the spokesperson for the Yobe state Police Command for comments were unsuccessful, as calls went unanswered at the time of filling these story.
