Benue Ex-Commissioner Omale Refutes ADC Defection Rumour, Declares Loyalty To Governor Alia

Mr Omale Omale, the former Benue State Commissioner for Power, Renewable Energy and Transport, has denied reports linking him with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), insisting he remains a loyal member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement on Monday, Omale said the speculation about his alleged romance with the ADC was “a deliberate attempt to malign” his political reputation and strain his relationship with Governor Hyacinth Alia.

Omale, a founding member of the APC and former state legal adviser, said he had invested too much in the party’s growth to consider leaving now.

“I have worked hard and made sacrifices to ensure the APC’s victory in 2023. I stood firm for Governor Alia’s emergence and have no reason to betray that trust,” he said.

He described himself as a “core democrat” who believes politics should be played by the rules, adding that he remained confident in his political future within the APC.

“I will continue to support Governor Alia as the leader of our party and the state,” Omale reaffirmed.
