Bayelsa Queens are through to the final of the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU B qualifiers after coming from behind to defeat USFA of Burkina Faso 2-1 in Yamoussoukro.
Comfort Yeboah gave USFA an early lead in the second minute, but the Nigerian champions responded with an equaliser from Emem Essien’s header after 15 minutes. Seimeyeha Akekoromowei then netted the decisive goal midway through the second half.
The victory secures the Prosperity Ladies a place in Friday’s final as they continue their bid for continental glory.
