Deputy Senate President, Sen. Barau Jibrin, on Wednesday led All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders to Shanono for a rally ahead of Saturday’s state House of Assembly bye-election for the Shanono/Bagwai Constituency.
The poll is to fill the seat left vacant by the death of Halilu Kundila, an APC lawmaker. Addressing thousands of supporters, Barau urged voters to back APC candidate Ahmed Kademu, describing the vote as an opportunity to reward the administration’s reforms and benefits.
Rep. Kabiru Abubakar (Bichi Federal Constituency) also called for massive support for the APC, pledging that the party would deliver N10 billion worth of rural road projects to spur development in the area.
