Key economic experts, government officials, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, policymakers, and professionals are preparing to convene in Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda, for the 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit 2025.
This summit, set to occur from 4th to 6th July at the Marriott Hotel, Kigali, aims to facilitate discussions around Africa’s economic advancement, governance, investment prospects, and sustainable development, according to the organisers, the 100 Most Notable Peace Icons in Africa.
The event is designed to showcase and celebrate the achievements and contributions of African leaders and businesses, inspiring future generations and enhancing the global image of Africa.
During a press conference held in Abuja, Nigeria, the Project Director for Africa at the 100 Most Notable Peace Icons in Africa, Amb. Dr. Kingsley Amafibe, praised the selected Africans who have earned a place on the esteemed Peace Icon list. He highlighted that the summit encourages cross-border initiatives that enable nations to exchange best practices in agriculture, education, and health.
The summit is poised to instigate positive change and economic growth initiatives that foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and bolster governance and education across the African continent, as noted by the organisers.
Honourees will include Egyptian football sensation Mohamed Salah, Africa’s richest individual Alhaji Aliko Dangote, music superstars Burna Boy, Tems, Bruce Melodie, Diamond Platnumz, industrialist Tony Elumelu, prominent investor Femi Otedola, DG WTO Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of Coza Global, Victor Osimhen, H.E. Malam Umar Namadi, Governor of Jigawa State, among others.
The summit will also advocate for reforms in policy and initiatives that enhance good governance, transparency, and accountability within Africa’s public and private sectors.
The platform will support startups, innovators, and small businesses by providing mentorship and access to markets, while also launching community-based projects focused on education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and youth empowerment, in collaboration with local and international partners and NGOs. Leadership development workshops, executive training programmes, and mentorship opportunities will be available to empower emerging leaders and entrepreneurs.
“Today, we honour trailblazers who are shaping the future of Africa and capturing the attention of leaders and business executives across the continent,” remarked Amafibe.
“There is a critical need for visionary leadership, strategic governance, transparency, and partnerships to catalyse positive change and unlock the continent’s full potential,” he concluded.
Other confirmed participants include Munyakazi Sadate, Chief Executive Officer of Karame Rwanda, Prof Haruna Musa, Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board in Jigawa State, and numerous other distinguished individuals from various fields.
Discussions at the summit will focus on governance reforms, business capacity development, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and human capital development, all aimed at job creation and youth empowerment across Africa.
