APC Relocates Key Leadership Meeting To Presidential Villa

Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), has relocated its upcoming National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting to the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, citing logistical reasons.

The meeting, originally slated to hold at the party’s national secretariat on Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja, will still take place on Thursday, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

The session is expected to focus primarily on the nomination and ratification of a new national chairman, following the resignation of Dr Abdullahi Ganduje on 27 June. Ganduje reportedly stepped down on health grounds.

His departure cleared the way for Abubakar Dalori, the party’s Deputy National Chairman (North), to step in as acting national chairman.

The APC’s NEC meeting is considered a crucial step as the party navigates its internal restructuring and prepares for future electoral cycles.
