Dr Somtochukwu Udeze, Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, has hailed Chief Arthur Eze as a leading philanthropist and astute businessman as he marks his 77th birthday.
Udeze sent his felicitations through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Emma Madu, in a message made available to journalists on Wednesday in Awka.
The speaker described Eze as a foremost Nigerian business magnate whose wealth has been used to positively impact lives through empowerment initiatives spanning age, gender, tribe and religion. He also noted that Eze is a source of pride for the Igbo community and a role model for generations.
“Eze, a native of Ukpo in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra, is a successful entrepreneur who established Triax Airlines, one of Nigeria’s leading private airlines, as well as Atlas and Oranto Petroleum International, which have contributed significantly to the nation’s economy and the development of Anambra State,” Udeze said.
He urged the youth of Anambra to emulate Eze’s business acumen by pursuing legitimate avenues for wealth creation and encouraged wealthy individuals to use their resources to promote societal development, peace, and progress, as demonstrated by Eze.
Udeze prayed for Eze’s continued good health and longevity, urging him to continue his “divinely assigned service to God and humanity” with joy.
