Aminu Dantata’s Final Resting Place in Madina

The remains of the esteemed billionaire philanthropist and elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, are set to be laid to rest in Madina on Monday, once the necessary approval from Saudi Arabian authorities was obtained. Mustapha Abdullahi Junaidu, the late Dantata’s secretary, shared the news in a brief post on Facebook, confirming that the clearance to transport Dantata’s body from Abu Dhabi to Madina has been secured, facilitating his burial as per his last wishes.

“Praise be to God, praise be to God, praise be to God. We have received approval to transport Aminu Alhassan Dantata from Abu Dhabi to Madina. The funeral prayer is scheduled for tomorrow (Monday) morning, God willing,” Junaidu stated.

The proceedings had been delayed previously due to Saudi Arabia’s work-free weekend policy, which hampered the necessary paperwork for the burial.

Dantata passed away on Friday night in a hospital in Abu Dhabi after a brief illness at the age of 94. A Ghaib (funeral) prayer was conducted in Kano on Saturday in absentia, where dignitaries, family, and friends gathered to honour the memory of the late entrepreneur.
