Al-Hilal is reportedly ready to extend an astonishing €50 million (approximately N89 billion) annual salary to entice Victor Osimhen to make the switch from Napoli.
Just last week, Osimhen rejected an already impressive offer of €30 million (around N54 billion) per season. This came after Al-Hilal had agreed to activate the €75 million release clause in his contract, as Napoli remains firm on their valuation.
Initially, there was urgency, as Al-Hilal wanted Osimhen to join their squad for the Club World Cup. However, with that deadline now behind them, Simone Inzaghi’s side is still keen on securing Osimhen’s services this summer, believing they can persuade him.
According to Turkish transfer expert Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, a new proposal heading to Osimhen’s representatives is valued at an extraordinary €50 million per season.
Napoli is eager to offload him following his loan stint with Galatasaray, yet clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea are currently focusing on alternative targets.
Juventus remains interested but would only consider signing Osimhen as a last resort, wishing to avoid strengthening a direct Serie A rival.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray is reportedly “optimistic” about signing Osimhen permanently this summer, despite competition from seven major European clubs.
The 26-year-old forward enjoyed a fruitful loan season with Galatasaray, netting 37 goals in 41 appearances, and they are keen to secure a permanent deal.
The Turkish giants have proposed a net annual salary ranging between €15-20 million, as reported by Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.
Although Galatasaray is hopeful of landing Osimhen, they have yet to finalise a payment structure with Napoli. Antonio Conte’s team desires that Osimhen’s €75 million release clause be settled in as few instalments as possible, which poses a significant challenge for Galatasaray.
Despite their ambitions, Galatasaray will face formidable competition for Osimhen’s signature this summer.
According to TEAMtalk reporter Rudy Galetti, AC Milan, Arsenal, Chelsea, Juventus, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid are all closely monitoring Osimhen’s situation as they consider potential bids.
He is seen as an ideal replacement for Rasmus Hojlund, who is attracting interest from Inter Milan, although Osimhen’s wage demands currently present a major hurdle.
Furthermore, TEAMtalk has indicated that Osimhen is keen to join a club competing in next season’s Champions League, which complicates Manchester United’s efforts, following their failure to qualify for any European tournaments.
