Air Peace Adds Embraer 190 Jet To Expand Domestic And Regional Reach

Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest private airline, has added its first Embraer 190 aircraft to its growing fleet, as it aims to scale up services on domestic and regional routes across West Africa.

The aircraft, with registration number 5N-CEF, landed at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Sunday night. In a statement issued on Monday, Air Peace spokesperson Efe Osifo-Whiskey confirmed that another Embraer 190 is expected to join the fleet by July.

The twin-jet aircraft, configured for 118 passengers, is equipped with a 2-2 seating arrangement and modern, fuel-efficient engines that offer quieter and more comfortable flights. “This addition marks a new era of seamless connectivity and right-capacity service for underserved destinations,” Osifo-Whiskey said.

He added that the move aligns with Air Peace’s continued investment in reliable aircraft tailored to the demands of its operational network. With more than 30 planes currently in operation, the airline boasts one of the region’s most robust fleets.

Air Peace is preparing for an ambitious third quarter, including new route launches, regional growth, international expansions, and additional fleet acquisitions. The airline reported an 85 per cent on-time performance rate across its Nigerian routes as of May 2025, positioning it as a leading force in West African aviation.
