The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 1 Headquarters, Mr. Ahmed Garba, has reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
Garba made the statement on Tuesday while convening a strategic meeting with Tactical and Intelligence Commanders from Kano and Jigawa Commands to address the recent surge in banditry. The meeting focused on reviewing security operations and coordinating the deployment of additional police personnel alongside military units already stationed in affected communities.
He urged residents to cooperate with security agencies by providing credible information to help curb criminal activities. Garba reassured citizens of Kano and Jigawa of the zone’s unwavering dedication to restoring peace and advised the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest security formation.
