Afghan Caretaker Gov’t Urges U.S. Not To Politicise Humanitarian Aid

The Afghan caretaker government wants the international community to differentiate between politics and humanitarian issues and not to politicise the humanitarian assistance.
“We want the countries including the United States not to politicise the humanitarian assistances,” an official of the Ministry of Economy said.
The Afghan official made the remarks in the wake of the suspension of Washington’s foreign assistance programme for 90 days,, saying the decision would undermine the activities of some aid agencies.
Some 50 aid agencies have reportedly stopped activities in Afghanistan following the U.S. decision on foreign aid programmes. (Xinhua/NAN)
