The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has continued the release of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with nearly 1.9 million candidates now able to check their scores.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the board’s spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, confirmed that 1,264,940 results from the 17 and 18 April sittings had been released.
He explained that candidates could access their results by sending “UTMERESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the phone numbers linked to their registration.
Benjamin noted that the board had previously released 632,752 results from the 16 April examination, bringing the cumulative total to 1,897,692.
He emphasised that JAMB remains committed to upholding integrity and efficiency in its examination processes through the use of technology and strict oversight mechanisms.
