A student of Peaceland University, Godspower Ojini, has been recognised after winning the top prize at the Enugu State Tech Festival in Enugu.
Ojini, a third-year Software Engineering student, led a team that developed an Artificial Intelligence platform capable of automating tasks for both individuals and businesses, earning them a ₦2.7 million award.
The festival, held between 24 and 27 February, attracted a wide range of youth innovators, with the project emerging as the standout entry.
The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Leonard Ilechukwu, praised the achievement, describing it as evidence of the institution’s high standards and commitment to student development.
Pro-Chancellor Felix Ugwuozor also commended the student, highlighting his consistency and previous success in similar competitions.
Ojini said his accomplishment was driven by determination and the support of his lecturers, adding that he remained committed to continuous learning beyond the classroom.
He revealed plans to further develop the project into a product with global reach, encouraging other students to remain focused, collaborate and persist in their pursuits.
