President Tinubu Hails Musa Kida’s Contributions To Oil Sector, Sports Development At 65

President Bola Tinubu has paid tribute to the Chairman of the Board of NNPC Limited, Musa Kida, as he marks his 65th birthday.

The President described Kida as an accomplished professional whose career in the oil and gas industry has left a lasting impact on Nigeria’s economic development.

In a statement released on Tuesday by his spokesman, Mr Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu highlighted Kida’s career at Elf Petroleum Nigeria Limited, now known as TotalEnergies, where he joined in 1985 and rose through the ranks.

He said Kida’s expertise and dedication helped to strengthen Nigeria’s oil industry and earned him respect across the sector.

Tinubu also applauded Kida’s continued involvement in professional basketball, noting that his passion for sports development reflected a broader commitment to national growth beyond the corporate sphere.

The President further acknowledged Kida’s leadership as Chairman of NNPC Limited, crediting him with playing an important role in repositioning the company and enhancing its revenue profile.

He wished Kida continued strength and success, encouraging him to remain committed to serving the country.
