President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday directed service chiefs and intelligence heads to step up efforts against insecurity and ensure more effective results nationwide.
The President met with the security chiefs at the State House, Abuja, in a closed-door session that lasted over an hour, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
After the meeting, Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, described the discussions as “engaging” and said the President issued fresh directives to reinforce ongoing security operations.
Gen. Oluyede assured Nigerians that security agencies were enhancing coordination to guarantee peaceful yuletide celebrations across the country.
