President Bola Tinubu is set to serve as the special guest of honour at the Progressives Forum Summit, scheduled for 8 December at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja.
The summit, announced by Ismaeel Ahmad, Chairman of the Organising Committee, will mark ten years of governance by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria. The event is being organised in collaboration with The Bola Tinubu Legacy Conference, the Progressives Rights Group (PRG), and the Buhari New Media Centre (BNMC).
Ahmad said themed “Summit of the Progressives,” the event aims to reflect on a decade of APC leadership while charting a renewed direction for Nigeria’s progressive movement.
“The summit will convene party leaders, key stakeholders, and members of the broader progressive family who have contributed to shaping the APC’s ideals and governance philosophy over the past decade,” he said.
The programme is designed to be both reflective and forward-looking, featuring a comprehensive review of milestones, achievements, reforms, and developmental strides since APC assumed national leadership in 2015. Discussions will also draw lessons to reinvigorate the progressive agenda for the years ahead.
Highlights of the summit will include keynote addresses on the evolution and impacts of progressive governance across key sectors, panel discussions on economic transformation, national security, social investment, energy transition, infrastructure development, governance reforms, and political renewal.
Fireside chats with prominent leaders within Nigeria’s progressive fold will spotlight leadership journeys, policy philosophies, and pivotal decisions that have shaped the movement. Legacy documentary presentations capturing APC’s rise, signature policy interventions, and landmark governance achievements since 2015 will also feature prominently.
