Tinubu Assures Nigerians Of Swift Action Following Kebbi School Abduction

President Bola Tinubu has vowed to rescue the female students kidnapped from Government Girls Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi State, following a violent attack that also left school officials dead.

In a statement on Monday, conveyed by the Minister of Information, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, Tinubu condemned the assault and expressed solidarity with the families of the abducted girls. He said security and intelligence agencies had been given clear directives to locate, rescue, and safely return the students, while bringing the attackers to justice.

The president stressed that safeguarding Nigerians, especially schoolchildren, is a core responsibility of the state. He noted that the federal government is enhancing military, policing, and intelligence operations and reinforcing regional collaboration through ECOWAS, the African Union, and the MNJTF to secure borders and combat criminal networks.

Tinubu urged the public to remain calm and assured that the government would not relent until the students are safely recovered.
