The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has announced that 316 students graduated with First Class honours out of a total of 11,886 graduands in various degrees and diplomas.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN, made this known on Monday during a press briefing to mark the institution’s 40th Convocation Ceremony and 50th anniversary celebrations.

First Class: 316

Prof. Egbewole said UNILORIN is proud of its 50-year journey of academic excellence, leadership development, research innovation, and community service. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to sustaining its legacy despite challenges such as limited resources, bureaucracy, and changing educational demands.
“These challenges have strengthened our resolve rather than derailed our progress. They provided opportunities to rethink, redesign, and recommit,” he said.
