Security Tightened In Adamawa Ahead Of Youth Council Protest

Police in Adamawa State have stepped up security in anticipation of a planned protest by the Ohanaeze Youth Council, deploying officers to strategic points and vital facilities across the state.

In a statement, Police Public Relations Officer SP Suleiman Nguroje said the deployment is part of ongoing efforts to prevent any breakdown of law and order and to protect citizens and public infrastructure.

The Command, in cooperation with other security agencies, has also launched a joint operation involving patrols and show-of-force activities along major routes and crowded areas.

According to the police, the operation aims to ensure visibility of security forces, deter violence, and reassure the public of their safety.

Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, urged residents to remain peaceful and go about their normal routines, while encouraging continued collaboration with security agencies.

The Command stressed that while it remains committed to upholding human rights, it will not hesitate to act decisively and professionally against any attempt to disrupt public peace.
