The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Adamawa have expressed their confidence in the administration led by President Bola Tinubu.
During a meeting of party executives in Hong on Tuesday, the stakeholders pledged their support for the re-election of the president in 2027, emphasising the need for the continued delivery of democratic benefits.
Mr Salihu Mustapha, the APC North-East Zonal Vice-Chairman, stated that the purpose of the meeting was to foster awareness among the executives to ensure the unity and progress of the party both within the state and nationally.
Mustapha highlighted that under Tinubu’s leadership, the party had achieved significant successes that had positively affected the nation. He cited accomplishments such as the implementation of a minimum wage of N70,000, the payment of arrears, local government autonomy, the removal of the fuel subsidy, and the ongoing fight against corruption.
Mr Yusuf Captain-Buba, Chairman of the Reconciliation and Reposition Committee for Adamawa Central Zone, also praised Tinubu for his significant efforts in revitalising the economy and transforming the agricultural sector.
“With these and many more achievements that we cannot mention here, we hereby express our confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s administration and the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, for their efforts in combating the insecurity affecting several regions of the country,” he stated.
Captain-Buba added that the mandate of his committee was to reconcile discontented party members, mobilise voters, reclaim the governorship of the state, and ensure Tinubu’s re-election for a second term in 2027.
He urged local government executives of the party throughout the state to promote justice and tolerance among all members.
Speaking at the event, Rufai Umar, the representative for Gombi Constituency in the state House of Assembly, noted that the meeting outlined strategies for tackling the challenges faced by the party.”
