Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has uged members of the All Progressives Party (APC) in the state to move to the grassroots and mobilize all Ekiti residents that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is the right way to go in the February presidential election.
This came as a youth political group in the state, Youth Alliance for Tinubu in Ekiti has said that All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s economic competence is sine qua non for the advancement of nation Nigeria.
Oyebanji said a Tinubu-led Presidency would assist his government to deliver the dividends of democracy to Ekiti people.
The governor spoke when paid an unscheduled visit to the All Progressive Congress (APC) Ado-Ekiti, Ward 1 where party faithful held their ward meeting.
Oyebanji whose visit caught members unawares said the visit was aimed at knowing the readiness of the party members for the forthcoming general elections and to canvass support for the presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Tinubu.
The state coordinator of the group Amb. Tosin Adesuyi who stated this said Tinubu has made youth inclusiveness to transcend imagination and is the kind of man Nigerians need in a time like this.
Adesuyi who doubles as the Director of Youth Mobilization Grassroots Independent Campaign Council spoke during the inauguration campaign group.
While YAT and GICC have resolved to deliver 80% votes of the young people to APC flag bearer in the state said, “Tinubu is a grassroots politician with clear understanding of the dreams and aspirations of the young people, hence, we can not but work hard to encourage and mobilize for effective participation of youth demography to enable him and other candidate in the 2023 general election with garner minimum of 80 % of the total vote in Ekiti.
“Being unique platforms with the understanding of genuine leadership has prepared our arsenals of young and vibrant Ekiti youths to take the truth about Asiwaju to the grassroots( the 16 LGA, 177 wards and 2450 polling units) to indicate we are that we are not moved by the religious sentiment but the unity and growth of this country which would be ushered in by Tinubu led administration by the grace of Almighty God”.
The Assistant State Coordinator of Youth Alliance for Tinubu in charge of Ekiti North Senatorial District, Deji Ogunbusuyi posited that, time has come to elect somebody who believed in building people and raising future leaders which Asiwaju has been doing before now and he is still doing it.
“He is not a selfish politician but a man who is always willing and eager to raise people from zero level to an enviable height in the realm of politics.A vote for Asiwaju is a new dawn for the youths”.
